Best Nawazuddin Siddiqui Movies
‘Winners are not people who never fail but people who never quit.’ Nawazuddin Siddiqui, an Indian actor is one such winner known for his work in Hindi Cinemas. An alumnus of the National School of Drama Nawazuddin Siddiqui, he is one actor whose movies are a must-watch. Most of his movies have received critical acclaim at International Film Festivals. His contribution towards the Cinema is commendable as he is the only Actor to have 8 films officially selected and screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
Few of his films have impacted the audience strongly and have won many applauds and few, though not super hits, have portrayed him as a talented fine actor. I am a great fan of his work and have watched almost all his movies. His acting style is unique and gripping for the viewers. He adds a personal touch to each role he performs and makes it all the more convincing.
Sharing a list of some of the best Nawazuddin Siddiqui movies.
1. Manto
This biological drama was released in 2018. Nawazuddin’s played the lead role of the famous author Saadat Hasan Manto. His quicksilver expressions and ground taking performance in this movie won him the Best Actor Award at the 2018 Asian Pacific Screen Awards.
2. Kahaani
A super hit movie of 2012, in which Nawazuddin played the archetypal short-tempered intelligence officer Khan. The film did”t revolve around him but he did full justice to his short and important role with his applaud-worthy acting skills.
3. Gangs of Wasseypur
Siddiqui gained international recognition for his work in this movie. He plays the role of Faizal and with his class-apart acting, he wins the hearts of not just the critics but also the masses.
4. Kick
Nawazuddin played the lead antagonist in this blockbuster movie. His impactful acting and demonic laugh stay with you till the end, making you admire his impressive acting skills.
5. Manjhi: The Mountain Man –
Released in 2014, Nawazuddin plays the lead role of Manjhi. His chemistry with his co-star Radhika Apte in the movie is excellent. He shines in the roles of both the young husband and the old man who struggles against all odds to fulfil his vow. This film is one of my absolute favourites.
6. Ghoomketu
His latest 2020 release is pretty different from his previous roles. Nawazuddin plays an aspiring writer who dreams big in his life and escapes from his village to fulfil his dreams. In order to get him back, his family files a missing case to the police. What unfolds from there is an entertaining storyline and light-hearted comedy. The Ghoomketu movie once again exhibits the finer qualities of Nawazuddin. If you haven’t watched this one yet, you must do it now. It’s released on ZEE5 and makes for a good family watch.
Apart from movies, Siddiqui has won many hearts with his powerful roles in various web series as well. Known for his off-beat films and outstanding acting prowess he is one of the most sought-after actors of the Hindi film industry.
