About the Book

This is a story of multiple kidnappings in a city named Krishnapur. A girl student from Korbin International school gets kidnapped and there is no demand for ransom. Inspector Ranjan Raghav and his team set on to investigate the case only to find out a deep and sinister motive behind the crime. Soon two more kidnappings happen leaving the people of the village perplexed.

My Review

I finished reading the book in one go! Which clearly means that the narrative of the book is quite gripping.

The book cover is intriguing and catches attention. It gives a glimpse of the kind of story one can expect. The narrative has a flow, with a proper conclusion at the end. The author ensured to connect all the lose threads and give a proper closure to the story.

He also makes various references to occult, witch-craft, etc which not just reflects his personal knowledge and research but also add to build up reader’s interest.

The characters of the book are also well-defined. I could almost imagine each character and scene the way author has described them. The language used is simple and relatable, without too many ornamental words or phrases.

At the start of the book, I made my guess about the killer but was totally surprised by the ending. Sitharaam’s intelligent writing kept me hooked till the end.
